LGSD Academic Snapshot: Central Elementary
Third graders at Central Elementary recently started a unit about poetry. We asked a couple of
them what they have learned.
Brooke
She said she has learned that poetry tells and reads like a story. “I like poetry because it’s fun.”
Monte
“I learned that poetry doesn’t have to rhyme, and I think that’s cool.”
After they learn a bit more about poetry, their class is going to write their own poems.
