Nov. Breakfast Challenge

posted Oct 31, 2017, 8:03 PM by Calandra Johnson

Breakfast is an important part of the school day and school community!

Schools that have high breakfast participation rates often see decreases in disciplinary issues, visits to the nurse’s office, and tardiness. School breakfast can improve learning environments by increasing student attentiveness, focus, and temperament in the classroom.

The Let’s Do Breakfast, Oregon! Campaign invites your school to join the third annual November School Breakfast Challenge! Participating schools will receive a School Breakfast Expansion Toolkit and other support from Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon, Oregon Dairy and Nutrition Council, and Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs. The schools with the greatest increase in participation will receive prizes, and all Challenge schools will be celebrated widely!
